markets high-performance PRE-ENGINEERED and MODULAR
Buildings that take advantage of the latest innovation in construction
methods and materials - Structural Insulated Panels (SIP).
SIP buildings are highly ENERGY EFFICIENT, SAFE, ECONOMICAL and DURABLE -- superior to traditional Wood Frame and Concrete Block construction for Residential, Commercial and Light-Industrial applications.

| Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) | Structural Insulated
Panels are a manufactured 'wall system' that has superior
performance compared to traditional 'stick-frame' and batt insulation
construction.
Each SIP is composed of two sheets of Steel, Aluminium or OSB wallboard bonded to a rigid core of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam. The resulting 'sandwich' panel can be quickly assembled into a structure that is several times stronger and more energy efficient than a conventional building.

Expanded
Polystyrene (EPS)
is a stable, recyclable foam material that does not 'off-gas'
or lose its thermal efficiency over time.
EPS is comprised of 'closed cells' that prevent the infiltration of air and moisture into the wall system thus providing a higher R-value (R-4 per inch) than fiberglass or cellulose insulations. SIP panel structures are 50%+ more energy efficient than conventional buildings -- offering significant heating/cooling savings. |
| Pre-Engineered
vs. Modular
|
Pre-Engineered SIP
building components are manufactured at the factory and then shipped
to site for final assembly. The time required to reach a 'lockup'
stage is roughly half that needed for a traditional structure
and fewer contractors are needed -- significantly reducing labour
costs and project risks.
Modular buildings are shipped from the factory as complete units and can be arranged into larger complexes. Each structure incorporates a welded structural steel frame that prevents building flex during loading, transport and placement. This feature allows the building to be relocated repeatedly without causing damage to the structural integrity, internal surfaces or millwork. |
| Electrical & Plumbing | Electrical and plumbing are run easilty through a vertical metal channel or chase cut into the EPS. Plumbing is installed in interior walls wherever possible. |
| Exterior Cladding | A wide range of exterior claddings can be installed that creates a high-end looking finish that is indistinguishable from convential framed buildings. Options include: Metal, Wood, Stucco, Concrete, Graffiti-proof, etc. |
